What Comes Before Hope?

Many humans rely on hope throughout their lives — a driving force that somehow life circumstances could change, shift, or become different.
But what sparks hope? What gives rise to it?
The Records have shared that what precedes hope is beauty.
Not beauty in the superficial or purely physical sense, but something far deeper.
It is the awe of creation itself.
The spark of existence. The miracle of emergence. The quiet intelligence woven into life.
Imagine witnessing the very inception of a leaf — the extraordinary beauty contained within the act of creation itself.
This is the kind of beauty I am referring to.
The Records have shown that connection to this deeper beauty often precedes hope, whether we consciously realize it or not.
Before hope comes awe.
If you feel you've been losing hope, the likelihood is the slow disconnection from this beauty aspect.
To rekindle it, spend some time in nature without phones or other distractions or responsibilities. Listen, meditate, observe closely. Consider the possibility of how an ant can carry so much weight being so small. Allow the questions to come to mind. All of this reconnects us to the awe of creation.
Tried that and you still don't have much hope? Consider a session. Sometimes, our soul can be utterly exhausted from multiple difficult lifetimes. A reboot or new path possibilities can be really helpful and necessary.
