Process of Hearing and Trusting Your Soul

I learned to hear my soul by ignoring it.

Importantly, I realized later that there was a process involved in hearing and trusting my soul. It looked like this:

1) A situation would occur where I would think about my options (ways of dealing with the problem), pick one and act on that decision. Later, cause I wasn't always right, I realized that I had known the answer and was angry that I hadn't chosen correctly.

2) Awareness was the next step. Having realized I had heard the right answer in previous situations, I set the intention of hearing the right answer and noticing it next time.

3) Next time rolls around, and I notice a small voice that feels different than the other thoughts in my head. Still, I haven't differentiated things yet, so I still try to pick what I think is best, and I find it was the other voice. I didn't listen all the time; however, I'm starting to really notice how it feels when my soul says something.

4) I began testing by listening to my soul and not listening, to confirm that I'm actually hearing what I'm hearing. When I listen to my soul, it works out.

5) Accepting and trusting my soul came next.

Remember, we are in relationship with our own soul. Our soul needs to trust us, and we need to trust our soul. This is the process I had gone through to learn how to hear it, test that I was hearing it, and accept that I was hearing my own soul.
